Aesculus californica, Nutt. California Buckeye. Tree with broad top, 30-40 ft.: lfts. 5-7, petioled, oblong- lanceolate, cuneate or obtuse at the base, sharply serrate, glabrous, 4-6 in. long: panicles 3-8 in. long, rather dense; fls. white or pale rose-colored. 1 in. long; petals of equal length.
