Crataegus fecunda, Sarg. Small tree, to 25 ft.: branches wide-spreading, with slender spines: lvs. oblong-ovate to oval, usually acute, doubly serrate, with strongly marked veins, 1½-3 in. long: corymbs slightly villous; calyx-lobes glandular-serrate: fr. subglobose to ovoid, ½-¾in long, orange-red, with thick flesh and 2-3 stones. May; fr. Oct. Mo., 111. S.S. 13:641. CH
