Thunbergia chrysops, Hook. St. climbing, slightly hairy: lvs. opposite, petiolate, ovate-cordate, angularly toothed: peduncles axillary, solitary, 1-fld.: corolla funnelform or campanulate; tube yellow, limb purple, bluish around the throat. Sierra Leone. B.M. 4119. F.S. 1:5. P.M. 11:221. F. 1844:193.—Naturally a climber, but said to become somewhat erect if grown in a coolhouse. CH
