Delphinium cheilanthum, Fisch. St. erect, simple or branched, 2-3 ft.: lvs. glabrous or slightly pubescent, 5-parted, the lobes pointed, sub-trifid, and somewhat toothed: fls. dark blue, the upper petals sometimes pale yellow, the lower ones inflexed, ovate, entire; spur rather lone, straight or somewhat curved: follicles 3, either glabrous or pubescent; seeds 3-cornered, 3- winged, not scaly.
