Betula utilis var. prattii, Burkill. (End of No. 3, B. utilis.) Lvs. nearly truncate at the base, more gradually acuminate, the secondary veins scarcely pilose, but the veinlets short-pubescent: scales of the catkins with very short lateral lobes. W. China.
