Aloe pratensis, Baker. Acaulescent: lvs. erect-spreading, 1-2 x 4-6 in., acute, striate, with large chestnut or blackish prickles on the margin and toward the top of the back: infl. 1½ ft. high; fls. 1¼-1½ in. long, yellowish red, the distinct segm. green-tipped. Cape. B.M. 6705. Berger 67.
