Asarum hartwegii, Wats. Tufted, loose-pubescent: Lvs. large and thick, cordate, with rounded basal lobes, mostly acute at the apex, margin ciliate, glabrous and mottled above: fl. stout-stalked, the lobes often ovate and long- pointed, the ovary inferior; styles 6. Sierra Nevadas, 4,000- 7,000 ft. altitude.
