Begonia leprosa, Hance. A dwarf, compact species, with short, free-branching rhizomes and erect, ovate, pale green Lvs. with biserrate margins and reaching to a height of 6-9 in.: infl. few-fld.; fls. large for so small a plant, rose-pink, male with 4 petals and female with 6 petals: partially deciduous during the winter months. China.—Thrives best in a greenhouse.
