Aerides radicosum, Reichb. (A. rubrum, Hort.). Lvs. up to 10 in. long and 1 1/2 in. broad: infl. longer than the lvs., racemose, or sometimes paniculate at the base; fls. about l 3/4 in. long, the sepals and petals light rose-purple, deeper spotted; lip 3-lobed, the small erect lateral lobes round, rose-purple, the middle lobe deep rose-purple, oblong, acute; spur curved, short.
