Albizzia julibrissm, Durazz. (Acacia Julibrissin, Willd. A. Nemu, Willd.). Tree, 30-40 ft. : rachis of the Ivs. with a small gland at the base; pinnse 8-24, with numerous Ifts., falcate-oblong, 1/4 in. long: heads pink, slender- peduncled, crowded on the upper end of the branches. Warmer Temp. Asia from Persia to Japan. Summer. Var. rosea, Mouillef. (A. rosea, Carr.). Fls. bright pink, dwarfer and hardier than the type. —This variety is sometimes grown under the name A. Nemu.
