Aloe serrulata, Haw. (A. perfoliata serrulata, Ait.). Fig.171. At length short-std.: lvs. somewhat glaucous, rather spirally arranged and spreading, 2x8 in., ovate, nearly flat above, with scattered elongated white blotches and serrulate white margin and keel: infl. 1½ ft. high; fls. 1½-2 in. long, red, the green-nerved segms. scarcely equaling the somewhat constricted tube. Cape. B.M. 1415. Salm, Aloe §20, f. 1. Berger 68. Hybrids: A.x Hoyeri, Radl. ("A. serrulata x Lomatophyllum borbonicum”?).
