Nepenthes dominii, Veitch (N. Rafflesiana x ? Bornean sp. probably N. gracilis). St. dark red: lvs. amplexicaul, decurrent, petiolate, lanceolate: pitchers 3-5 x 1-2 in., ventricose below, contracted toward mouth, mottled green and dark purple; wings narrowing from below upward, fringed; peristome uniform, elevated into a neck behind. J.H.S. 21:238.—This, the first artificial hybrid, was raised by Dominy about 1860, and is still a favorite of easy cult.
