Paphiopedilum javanicum, Pfitz. (Cypripedium javanicum, Reinw.). Leaves up to 7 in. long and 2 in. wide, distinctly tessellated above, pale green beneath: scape longer than leaves, pubescent, 1-flowered; flowers 3—4 in. greatest diameter; dorsal sepal nearly orbicular, long-acuminate, ciliolate, margin reflexed below, pale green, striated darker green; petals somewhat deflexed and falcate, oblong, obtuse, ciliolate, green, the inner surface with brown small warts; lip green, the inflexed lobes minutely warty.
