Erect, much branched, 1/2 - 1 1/2 ft. high, glabrous below: lvs. opposite, ovate to oblong- lanceolate or almost linear, small and short; involucral lvs. usually 4, shorter than fls.: heads globular, not many-fld., the fls. silky-hairy, white.
