Saxifraga tenella, Wulf. Lax, cespitose, 2-4 in. high, with foliose, prostrate or erect caudicles: sts. erect, slender, glabrous: lvs. yellow- or apple-green, shining, thin but rather stiff, lower and also cauline, linear-subulate, cuspidate-aristate, margin setulose-ciliate or glabrous, glandulose-ciliate toward the base: infl. terminal, few-fld. panicles with slender pedicels longer than the fls.: fls. white or yellowish white; calyx-lobes triangular, acute, equaling the tube, glabrous; petals obovate-oblong, recurved above, 3-nerved, twice as long as the calyx-lobes. June, July. Mountains of Cent. Eu. CH
