Veronica bonarota, Linn. (V. chamaedryfolia, Wettst. Paederota Bonarota, Linn. P. chamaedryfolia, Brign.). Perennial, pilose: sts. 4-6 in. high: lower lvs. orbiculate, scarcely 1 in. long; upper lvs. ovate or lanceolate, serrate or incised: spike globose or oblong, compact, 1 – 1 3/4 in. long: fls. blue, about 1/3 in. across; calyx-segms. linear-subulate. Italian Alps and Tyrol.
