Read about Zaluzianskya capensis in the Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture

Zaluzianskya capensis, Walp. (Nycterinia capensis, Benth.). Differs from the above, as described by Bentham, in stature, duration, strict sts. and smaller lvs., but unfortunately Bentham does not give the height of the plant or color of the fls. According to R.H. 1851:221, the plant has white or lilac fl.-clusters on the same plant, each fl. having an orange eye. The spikes, according to Bentham, are commonly short and 4-8-fld., sometimes long and 15-20-fld. There is some evidence that this species and the next are confused in the trade. In R.H. 1851:221 the fls. are 3/4 - 1 in. long and less than 1/2 in. across.
