Deciduous shrub with arching shoots and ovate, mid-green leaves, bronze when young, to 1 1/4 in (3cm) long. Funnel-shaped, slightly scented, orange-marked, lilac-pink flowers, 1 in (2.5cm) long, with 2-lobed, pinkish green calyces, are produced singly or in axillary cymes, from late summer to autumn.
