Gerardia laevigata, Raf. Not glaucous but glabrous, the st. simple or slightly branched: lvs. 1 ½ -4 in- long, entire, or the lowest somewhat incised, all petioled, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate: calyx-lobes ovate-lanceolate, equaling or shorter than the tube and caps, glabrous, about twice as long as the calyx. Oak barrens, etc. S. E. U.S.
