Pritchardia gaudichaudii, Wendl. (P. macrocarpa, Lind.). Trunk 20 ft. high, 1 ft. thick, usually much lower in cult.: lvs. roundish, 3-4 ft. long, covered beneath with pale brown matted wool, slit for about 1 ft. into about 60 segms.; petioles 2-3 ft. long, without spines: calyx glabrous and not prominently striate: fr. ovoid, 3/4in. long, yellowish red.
