Montanoa bipinnatifida, Koch (Polymnia grandis, Hort;). Erect and strong, half-shrubby, to 8 ft..: lvs. pinnatifid or 2-pinnatifid, more or less hairy, the segms. Serrate or notched: heads 3 in. diam., the showy pure white rays. Mex. G.C. III. 39:123; 42:419. Gn.72:308. G. 30:277. G.M. 50:903. R.H 1910, p. 175. A striking subject either for winter bloom indoors or for bedding out with bold planting.
