Acer grandidentatum, Nutt. Tree, 40 ft., with dark brown bark: petioles comparatively short: lys. slightly cordate, 3-5-lobed, with broad sinuses, 2-3 in. across, pubescent beneath, coriaceous; lobes acute or obtuse, entire or slightly 3-lobed: corymbs few-fld., hairy, short-stalked.
