Aster sibiricus, Linn. A foot or sometimes nearly 2 ft. high, somewhat pubescent, each branch terminating in a single head : lvs. oblong-spatulate to broad-lanceolate, serrate, almost clasping the st.: heads violet or lilac. Arctic Eu. and Amer., and Rocky Mts.—Excellent rockwork plant.
