Scutellaria baicalensis (or Baikal Skullcap, as opposed to Scutellaria lateriflora, a Skullcap native to North America) is a species of flowering plant in the Lamiaceae family.

Scutellaria baicalensis, Georgi (S. macrantha, Fisch.). A hardy perennial herb, almost glabrous: st. half erect, about 1 ft. high: lvs. lanceolate, obtuse, ciliate: fls. blue, in many simple racemes; calyx-hood incurved. July, Aug. E. Asia. Var. coelestina, Hort., has large spikes of bright blue fls. July. CH
