Baptisia leucantha, Torr. & Gray. Branching, more or less succulent, 2-4 ft., glabrous: Lvs. stalked; lfts. obovate to oblanceolate to cuneate, very obtuse, drying black : fls. white, nearly an inch long, in loose-fld., lateral racemes. Ont. to Texas.
