Bromus madritensis, Linn. Fig. 668. One to 2 ft., tufted: panicle erect, 2-4 in., oblong-ovoid, contracted; glumes and lemmas narrow, the latter 7-9 lines long; awn straight or somewhat curved, 8-11 lines long. Eu.—Sometimes cult, for ornament.
