Nymphaea micrantha is a flower belonging to the genus Nymphaea. It is found in Africa, especially in West Africa. It has a bulb structure, and usually grows to a height of 20–80 cm (8–32 inches). It cannot be grown immersed.

Nymphaea micrantha, Guill. & Perr. Lvs. elliptic, entire in apical half, rest of margin sinuate; sinus deep; lobes spreading, much produced and acuminated, bearing bulbs which produce new plants at the top of the petiole; under side of lf. green, tinged with purplish brown and minutely dotted: fls. small, white, 3-5 in. across; calyx pale green, unspotted; petals lanceolate, very acute. West coast of Afr.—N. Daubeniana, Hort., is a pale blue form of this, possibly a hybrid with N. caerulea. The above text is from the Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture.
