Sabal blackburniana (S. umbraculifera, Mart. Inodes Blackburniana, Cook). Trunk thickened at the middle: blade ample, orbicular, glaucous, rather rigid, shorter than the petiole; lobes about 40, ensiform, bifid, filamentous, rather rigid: spadix more branched than in any other species: fr. inverted pear-shaped, about 1 1/2 in. long. W. Indies.
