Mimulus alatus, Soland. St. somewhat winged or angled: lvs. ovate to oblong, acute, dentate-serrate, petioled: fls. violet; peduncle shorter than calyx; calyx-teeth short and broad, abruptly sharp-pointed. Wet places, W. New England to Kans., south to Texas. L.B.C. 5:410.
