The [[leaf|leaves]] are opposite, oval to lanceolate, 2-10 cm long and 1-4.5 cm broad, with an entire margin and an acuminate apex. The [[flower]]s are white, 1–2 cm diameter, with a tube-like [[Corolla (flower)|corolla]] opening out into five petal-like lobes. The [[fruit]] is a slender [[follicle (fruit)|follicle]] 10-25 cm long and 3-10 mm broad, containing numerous [[seed]]s.<ref name=foc/>

Tender, evergreen, climbing shrub: lvs. short-stalked, ovate-lanceolate, acute, glabrous: peduncles much longer than lvs.: calyx-lobes reflexed; corolla-tube contracted below the middle; several jagged scales at base of corolla; 5 large glands at base of ovary, 2 united, 3 free.
