Oncidium phalaenopsis, Lind. & Reichb. f. A small-growing plant, with pseudobulbs oblong, somewhat ribbed, 1-2 in. high: Lvs. narrow at the base, broadening upward, about 6 in. long: fls. 3-6 on a slender raceme, gaily colored, creamy white, with the sepals and petals barred with reddish purple, and the base of the lip profusely spotted with the same color; sepals and petals quite similar, oblong, acute; labellum pandurate, with 2 rounded lobes in front. Blooms at various seasons, and lasts a long time. Ecuador. I.H. 17:3. Gn. 41:492. J.H. III. 28:515.—A beautiful little plant, worthy of extended cult. Much like O. cucullatum.
