Aloe plicatilis Mill. (A. disticha plicatilis, Linn. A. linguiformis, Linn. A. flabelliformis, Salisb. Kumàra disticha, Medikus. Rhipidodéndron distichum, Willd. R. plicátile, Haw.). Somewhat repeatedly forking, 3-10 ft. nigh, not cespitóse: lvs. flat or 2-edged as in Gasteria, ascending, glaucous, 1-1 ½ X 8-16 in., the narrow cartilaginous margin minutely somewhat denticulate upward: infl. 1-3 ft. high; fls. 1½-2 in. long, red, with segms. scarcely equaling the tube.
