Androstephium violaceum, Torr. (A. caeruleum. Greene). Slender, 6-10 in.: umbel 2-7-fld., the fls. blue, 1 in. long, supported on a stout (¾ in.) pedicel; crown exceeding the anthers.—Blooms in spring; pretty.
