Anemone quinquefolia, Linn. (A. nemorosa var. guinque folia, Gray). This American species differs from A. nemorosa in having smaller fls., involucral Lvs. less lobed, foliage paler, and much more slender st. and petioles.—The common windflower or spring anemone, formerly called A. nemorosa. Gn.M. 13:15.
