Begonia caroliniaefolia, Regel. St. erect, thick, fleshy: Lvs. palmately divided into 6-8 long ovate segms.: fls. small, pink, on long peduncles. Mex. Gt. 1:258. — Named for its Lvs. resembling those of the Carolinea (Pachira). The lfts. are ovate, rather than narrow as in most begonias with divided or compound Lvs., and in this regard peculiar.
