Brunfelsia latifolia, Benth. (Franciscea latifolia, Hook.). Habit dwarf with slender spreading branches: Lvs. elliptic, 2-4 in. long, acute or obtuse, glabrous above, slightly pubescent beneath: fls. in terminal clusters or short axillary, few-fld. cymes; corolla 1½ in. diam., pale violet, with white center, changing in a day or so to white, sweetly scented; tube 1½ in. long, slender, slightly curved; calyx erect, campanulate, ½in. long, teeth acute.
