Cattleya guttata, Lindl. (C. elatior, Lindl.). Pseudobulbs 18-30 in. tall, cylindric, 2-lvd.: lvs. 5-9 in. long, oblong- elliptic: peduncle bearing 5-10 fls. 3-4 in. across; sepals and petals yellowish green, spotted deep purple, the sepals obtuse, the lateral somewhat falcate, the petals undulate, broader than sepals; lip 3-lobed, the lateral lobes white externally, acute, the front lobe amethyst purple, obcordate, papillate.
