Erica propendens, Andr. An erect sub-shrub, 10-18 in. high, the tranches nearly straight, the younger pubescent: lvs. in 4's, linear and usually 3-sided, ciliate, or sometimes glabrous: fls. 1-4 in a cluster, the corolla red. broadly bell- shaped and hairy, about ⅓-½ in. long; ovary 4-8-celled, rough but not hairy.
