Fuchsia arborescens, Sims (F. syringaeflora, Carr.). A shrub: lvs. lance- oblong and entire, laurel-like: fls. lilac-scented, pink-red, small, with a short or almost globular tube, in an erect terminal naked lilac-like panicle; calyx - lobes and petals about equal in length. Mex. B. M. 2620.—Little grown, but excellent for winter-flowering; should not be lost to cult. CH
