Iris ziphioides. Ehrh. (I. anglica, Hort.}. English Iris. Lvs. about 1 ft.: st. 1-2 ft.: fls. dark violet- purple in the typical form; outer segms. orbicular, yellow in the center; inner segms. snorter, oblong. French and Spanish Pyrenees. B.M. 687.
