Marattia fraxinea, Smith (M. elegans, Endl.) Fig. 2326. St. erect, tuberous: lvs. bipinnate, 6-15 ft. long, the stalks often 1 in. or more thick; pinnules 4-6 in. long, ½1½ in. wide, of a leathery texture and naked surfaces: receptacles submarginal. W. Afr. to Malaysia and New Zeal.
