Mertensia echioides, Benth. St. 12 in. more or less: plant soft-hairy: lvs. oblong to spatulate, the lower ones long petioled, somewhat obtuse: fls. deep blue in dense many-fld. racemes, the corolla-tube one-third longer than calyx, with no scales in the throat, the lobes of corolla erect. Himalaya.
