Nicotiana paniculata, Linn. Herbaceous, annual, viscid- pubescent: st. 2-3 ft. tall, simple, angular above, branching: Lvs. petiolate, subcordate, ovate or sub- orbicular, obtuse or abruptly apiculate, the upper ovate, acute: fls. pedicellate, bracteolate, in large terminal panicles; calyx with 5 nearly equal linear teeth; corolla yellowish green, salverform, tube clavate, glabrous, nearly 6 times longer than the calyx, contracted at the throat; limb plicate, green, very short, becoming revolute; lobes acute: caps, ovate, obtuse, slightly longer than the calyx. Peru. R. &. P. Fl. Peruv. 129.— Not much cult.
