Nothoscordum fragrans, Kunth (Allium fraqrans, Vent.). Bulb larger, round, yellowish white: lys. linear, obtuse, 8-12 in. long: scape rotund, attaining height of 20 in.: spathe 2-parted, shorter than pedicels: fls. fragrant, 8-20 in an umbel, white slightly blushed, lined dark; stamens and anthers purplish. Subtrop. Amer.—Not very hardy; better treated as a tender bulb and dug up in fall, planting in spring.
