Salvia cacaliaefolia, Benth. Tender perennial: sts. herbaceous, erect, about 3 ft. high, pubescent: lvs. petiolate, broad-deltoid, the base angulate, broad subhastate-cordate, rather thick, pubescent above, reddish or whitish and soft-villous beneath; floral lvs. small: racemes branched; floral whorls 2-fld.; calyx campanulate, pilose, the teeth aristate-acuminate; corolla deep blue, pubescent, the tube very broad.
