Saxifraga stribrnyi, Velen., also spelled Stribnryi, Stribnyri, and Striburyi (S. porophylla var. Stribrnyi, Velen.). Cespitose, 4-5 in. high, with short, densely foliate caudicles: fl.-sts. erect, branched, sparsely leafy, spreading, glandular-pilose: lower lvs. rosulate, spreading, sessile, spatulate-oblanceolate, apex submucronate, fleshy, above intramarginally pitted, carinate below, margin narrowly cartilaginous toward the base, sparingly ciliate; cauline lvs. oblong-spatulate, subacute, green, sometimes reddish toward the apex, margin below glandular-ciliate, both surfaces sparsely glandular-pilose: infl. cymose, branches spreading or slightly recurved up to 1 1/2 in. long; the pedicels up to 1/2 in. long, spreading, glandular-pilose: fls. nodding, carmine, 1/3 in. diam.; calyx campanulate, reddish purple and densely glandular-pilose outside, the lobes subequal, oblong-ovate, apex rounded, glandular-pilose outside; petals suberect, broad-spatulate, apex obtusely dentate, glabrous, about the same length as the calyx-lobes.
