Scutellaria ventenatii, Hook. Perennial: sts. erect, branched, everywhere soft-slender-pubescent: lvs. long-petioled, rather thick, cordate-ovate, rather obtuse, coarsely serrate: racemes terminal, elongated, subsecund or sub-distichous: calyx small; corolla scarlet, about 1 in. long, the upper lip deeply 4-cut.
