Sedum sarmentosum, Bunge. Perennial, glabrous: shoots slender and prostrate: lvs. crowded, opposite or whorled, 1/2 - 3/4 in., linear, terete or slightly flattened: fls. bright yellow, 1/4 in. across, numerous, in a flat-topped, umbellate, 3-5-forked cyme, with a solitary fl. in the forks; branches recurved, the fls. on the upper surface only; sepals ovate-lanceolate, fleshy; petals lanceolate; stamens yellow. China. Var. carneum, Hort. (S. carneum variegatum, Hort.), has pink sts.: lvs. with a marginal stripe of white or cream-color.—A good greenhouse plant and also good for edging. CH
