Selliguea (personal name, from Selligue, naturalist and mechanician). Polypodiaceae. A group of ferns referred by Diels (Engler & Prantl, Die Naturlichen Pflanzenfamilien) to Polypodium. Only P. Feei, Mett. (Selliguea Feei, Bory. Gymnogramma Feei, Hook.), appears to be listed. It is described by Schneider as a small stove species of the Malay Isls., Java, and Borneo: fronds entire, from a creeping rhizome, the barren ones 3-4 in. long and 2 in. or less broad, the fertile ones narrower and longer-stalked. ^CH The above text is from the Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture.
