Root perennial, woody: sts. clustered, herbaceous, 1-3 ft. high, with an umbel-like top: lvs. lanceolate to oval or oblong, glandular, crenulate to obtusely serrate, acute or obtuse: spikes 2-3 in. long: fls. small, yellow.
